Imagine having everything you ever wanted or falling into place without stress. This was typically my life. Ever since childhood, I'd always had the most expensive toys, the perfect pair of shoes, or the newest iPad. Let's blame it on my parents being lavishly rich and my being the only child. My parents always made sure I got the best of everything. Regardless of these benefits, I was also a goal-setter and getter. Right from high school, I had planned to get a scholarship into one of the most prestigious Ivy League Universities to study computer science. I was brilliant, so it wasn't quite a surprise when I got admission into the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to study the course I wanted. I finished top of the class with distinction and went on to bag a master's degree at that same prestigious university.

Everything was going very well for me according to the plan I had laid out for my life, and I loved it. The next thing to get crossed off my list was finding a suitable partner to cope with my nature. I was very bossy and loved to be in charge at all times. In the modern-day world, we refer to it as being a feminist. I wanted and needed a person that understood me. It didn't take me time to find Patrick. He was a 45-year-old Nigerian divorcee living overseas. He had all the attributes I wanted and believed in the emancipation of women from stereotypical roles. The only downside was that he had a 20-year-old son from a previous marriage, but I figured since the child was already grown up, he wouldn't really be a problem. We got married, and I relocated to join him. 

Our lives started together, and everything was perfect for me. I had a man who loved me, my dream job of lecturing at a prestigious university, and two cute puppies who couldn't stop licking my face at any time. Patrick's son, Emeka, attended the same university I was lecturing. Hence, he would always follow me to the university and back afterward. Because of that, Emeka and I got closer. He would come to my office during his free periods, and we would discuss random things about our interests. We had similar interests. He was a big fan of cars, and I was also into cars. He had a knack for science and technology, and I also had a knack for that. I found Emeka to be a rather fascinating and curious young lad. He acted mature for his age regarding his mannerisms and how he talked. 

No sooner than later, I began to look forward to the rides in the car to the university in the mornings, the rides back home, and even the surprise visits from him in my office. I truly enjoyed, indulged in, and craved his company very much. I found that very weird and disturbing because it seemed like I had a crush on him. Emeka was a no-go area because even though he wasn't related to me biologically, he was related to my husband biologically. And to top it off, he was my husband's offspring.I tried fighting my growing feelings towards Emeka, and things got a bit better when he returned home one day with a girlfriend. I mean, my heart sank a bit with disappointment when he first introduced her. Her name was Priscilla, and she was in the same class as him, studying the same course. Priscilla was a beautiful lady with all the qualities any man would want. I could see exactly why Emeka was dating her. 

As much as I wanted to be happy for Emeka, I couldn't bring myself to be because a huge part of me also wanted him. I know how wrong this sounds. I was angry with myself because I had already gotten everything I wanted. I had a lovely marriage and a good job. What else mattered? Falling for my husband's son certainly wasn't on my list of things I wanted to achieve.At that point, I knew the best thing to do was to pull back and avoid Emeka. I figured I could get over my feelings for him by doing this. I made up some excuses, started going to work earlier, and started leaving work earlier. Whenever he came to my office to converse, I would make up an excuse of urgently needing a lecture room. Emeka noticed something was up and confronted me about it. I lied and assured him everything was fine- even though it wasn't. 

Things became worse as I started having wet dreams about Emeka. I'd wake up dripped in sweat from head to toe. At this point, I didn't know what to do again. Emeka was the forbidden fruit I couldn't eat, and maybe that's what made it more exciting for me. All my life, I had always gotten everything I wanted. Everything was handed out on a platter of gold, and now there was this one thing I wanted that was impossible for me to get. I decided to let my feelings be and promised never to act on them. I owed my husband that much.

Priscilla called me strangely on a fateful afternoon and invited me out for lunch. I found it a bit weird because she had never done that before. She said she had something important to talk to me about. I was scared because I suspected she had realized I liked Emeka and wanted to discuss it. However, I felt I was overthinking the entire situation and agreed to meet up with her for lunch. We met at a cafe, and I was also shocked to see Emeka there. I was blindsided, and I wouldn't say I liked that. What could these two want to talk to me about? We exchanged pleasantries and ordered some food. Priscilla was her usual chatty self, while Emeka seemed out of sorts. He was quiet for some odd reason and seemed on the edge.

Emeka finally spoke and told Priscilla to go ahead with what they came there for. Priscilla sucked in a deep breath and looked me dead in the eye only to ask, "We want to have a threesome with you" I blinked numerous times and spat the orange juice I had drank out. 

"What?" I replied because I couldn't believe my ears. They had just asked me to have a threesome? They both told me to calm down, and Priscilla started explaining everything. She and Emeka were having trouble in their relationship and needed an extra person to spice it up. "But why me?" I had to ask them. 

"Because we're both attracted to you and want you," Emeka finally said while putting his head down. He couldn't look me in the eyes to say it. 

"Wow," I paused and said after a while. Emeka wanted me as much as I wanted him. I felt giddy with joy, like a teenager again. 

"So, will you do it?" Priscilla asked me as I got back to reality. "We know it's a big ask because you're married to Emeka's father, but it would only be once, and Emeka's father won't have to know," Priscilla continued.It seemed weird for them to be asking me. A huge part of me wanted to say yes, but how weird would it be to sleep with your stepson and his girlfriend? 

"I'd need time to think about it," I finally said after a long while. I took my time pondering the choice and had to go with my intuition. Now, I know you'll be pondering upon the choice I made- but let's say I went with the choice that benefitted us all (If you know what I mean, of course)
