Additionally, she co-created and took on a lead role in the web series titled "Ayo and Rachel Are Single.” 

While she made a brief appearance in a 2014 episode of the series "Defectives," Edebiri initially entered the entertainment scene as a stand-up comedian. Her comedic talents were showcased in a stand-up set featured on Comedy Central's Up Next. The scripted digital series "Ayo and Rachel Are Single," which she co-wrote and co-starred in alongside her friend and fellow comedian Rachel Sennott, debuted on the network in May 2020. In 2020, Edebiri marked her film debut in the comedy-drama "Shithouse," albeit in an uncredited role. By 2023, at the age of 28, she lent her voice to characters in "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem." Simultaneously, she took on lead roles in the comedy films "Theater Camp" and “Bottoms."

A significant breakthrough occurred when she secured the role of Sydney Adamu in "The Bear" in 2022, a portrayal that earned her the prestigious Best Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy award. Her performance in "The Bear" garnered numerous awards and accolades, particularly for her depiction of Sydney Adamu, a skilled chef joining Carmy’s team at The Beef. Edebiri's exceptional performance in the role not only earned her an Independent Spirit Award but also nominations from esteemed events such as the Gotham Awards and Critics’ Choice Awards. Additionally, she received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
